Metro Area Professional Organization (MAPO) mission statement is, “One ready and generous in helping those in distress.” MAPO is for humanity, a non-profit organization a (501c), whose mission is to share and care for the homeless and hungry, networking with shelters who are in need of supplies and offering scholarships to our youth.

 

We presently have 19 Board Members and 11 Members at Large. Five (5) of our Honorary Members are Senators, House of Representatives, and a judge.  Our Honorary Members also include 11 community mayors as well as several other distinguished members.  Please refer to our MEMBERSHIP Page for additional information.

 

We are supporting the following organizations:

S.I.U.E. Cougar Cupboard in Edwardsville, IL, is a food pantry providing food assistance to students in times of need.

 

Jackie Joyner Kersee Center which provides programs for the youth in greater East St. Louis, IL.

The Violence Prevention Center of Southwestern Illinois located in Waterloo, IL. This is an agency serving men, women, and children, who are victims of domestic violence.

 

The Joseph Center Eagles Nest is for our homeless veterans in East St. Louis, IL.

 

OASIS Women’s/Children’s Center a domestic violence center in Alton, IL.

 

Maryville Food Pantry provides food and necessities to Maryville, IL households.

 

Chestnut Health Center in Granite City, IL. is another shelter for a substance abuse and mental health facility.

 

The Collinsville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center are striving for each residential needs- and goals to obtain independence.

 

Hoyleton Youth and Family Services provides a loving, caring and structural home for children free from abuse and neglect.

Another program we support is the Adult Education GED Program in East St. Louis, IL.
